Cool Blew Inc., the valley’s air conditioning and heating industry leader, has compiled a list of some of the coolest places around the valley to celebrate Independence Day. This is by no means an exhaustive list, but we’ve put a little bit of something for everyone in here. Happy 4th of July, Phoenix!

Dance for your country’s birthday with the styles of Rio Earp and DJ Fashen. And go on a nostalgia trip with over 40 vintage arcade games to choose from and play!

Fourth Of July American Hip-Hop/R&B Battle:
East Coast vs West Coast, July 1 & 2, Phoenix (21+)

DJ Slick 76 & DJ Melo battle it out on a journey through the 90’s and 00’s hip-hop and R&B, from the West Coast to the East Coast. Travel back in time over the weekend while dancing to oldies, but goodies. Admission is $3-$5 and the doors open at 8 PM with the show starting at 9PM.

Fourth of July American Hip Hop/R&B Battle

Salt River Tubing: Firecracker Bucks, July 2-4

Take a relaxing float down the Salt River this weekend instead of doing the normal music/food/vendors scene. The Salt River will be promoting a campaign called “Bag it for Bucks” which tubers are encouraged to store their trash in specialty bags to keep the river clean. If you chose to take part in it, you will get a discounted tube rental ($7) on your next trip down the river. The first 1000 people on the 4th will receive the bags for the campaign. Be sure to drink plenty of water and wear sunscreen, also have a DD-driver.

Tempe Center For The Arts 4th Of July Celebration

Another alternative choice, the Center for the Arts in Tempe is putting on a swanky cocktail party in air-conditioned comfort. Purchase a VIP ticket and get rooftop access to watch the fireworks over Tempe Town Lake, right off the front steps of the Art Center. General admission tickets will get you entry into the main lobby and ground floor. Food and beverages catered by Atlasta Catering.

Peoria’s All American Festival, July 4th

Hosted at the Peoria Sports Complex, this event is full of tons of stuff to do! One of the highlights is a five-story tall water slide! There’s live music, a kids zone, “water zone”, family-friendly activities, a cornhole tournament, eating contests, and of course, fireworks.
Ticket prices: $7 per person until June 30 — $10 after June 30 and at gate — Kids 12 under are FREE — VIP tickets $25.

Westgate Firework Fest, July 3rd

Westgate throws a great party every year and this year is no exception. Complete with a beer garden for the adults, and a splashpad for the kids to keep cool. it’s sure to be a hit. Live music, great food, and activities for the whole family are available here.
Doors open at 5 PM and party goes until 9:30 PM, with fireworks starting at 9 PM.

Westgate Firework Fest

Red, White and Boom, July 1

Ahwatukee residents have a great family-friendly event to go to this year with Red, White, and Boom, on the 1st of the month. Make sure the kids pack their bathing suits so they can play in the pool playground and on the splash pad. There’s also a zipline, carnival games, live music, and food. This party is a hit every year!
$5 per person
VIP options for $25: one gives you access to the Pecos Pool, the other gives you upfront seating for the fireworks. (go with the pool option)
